Taylor Swift had one of the most relatable reactions in the arena when Travis Kelce decided to turn a courtside NBA appearance into a full Cleveland moment.
Swift and Kelce attended Game 3 of the NBA Eastern Conference finals on Saturday, May 23, at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, where the Cleveland Cavaliers faced the New York Knicks. Kelce, who grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, was clearly enjoying the home-crowd attention as cameras found him during the game.
At one point, Kelce stood up courtside and chugged a can of beer while the crowd cheered him on. ESPN shared video of the moment, showing the Kansas City Chiefs tight end throwing his head back, finishing the drink, then grinning toward the camera before raising his arms to the fans.
Swift’s reaction quickly became the part everyone wanted to talk about.
The camera caught her sitting beside him, covering her face with both hands and laughing as Kelce leaned into the moment. After the initial shock wore off, she looked up, smiled, and joined the crowd by clapping along.
It was a small moment, but the kind that travels fast because it felt unscripted. Kelce was playing to the Cleveland crowd. Swift looked amused, slightly embarrassed, and fully aware that everyone in the building — and online — was watching.
The couple’s appearance at the game drew attention even before the beer-chug moment. Videos from inside the arena showed fans cheering as Swift and Kelce arrived, with Kelce pumping up the Cavaliers supporters. The Knicks went on to beat Cleveland 121-108.
Swift kept her look casual for the game, wearing a black top with silver chain trim, a black-and-blue denim jacket, baggy jeans, and black strappy heels. Kelce matched the relaxed courtside feel in jeans, a short-sleeved denim shirt over a red-and-white printed T-shirt, white sneakers, and a backwards Cavaliers cap.

The public outing came after Swift and Kelce were recently seen together in New York City, including dinner at Sartiano’s in SoHo and other date-night stops around Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Swift and Kelce have been dating since 2023 and announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on Aug. 26, 2025. In September, a source told PEOPLE that the couple wanted their wedding to stay private, saying it would be “a private affair and not a spectacle.”
For now, though, their courtside appearance gave fans something much lighter: Travis Kelce acting like a Cleveland fan, Taylor Swift trying to hide her face, and one playoff moment that was always going to end up everywhere online.
